Spring Internship [Week 1]

I began my spring internship by familiarizing myself with the equipment, the space, and the owner, Rob Chandler. After getting the full tour of his recording equipment collection, rack gear, and tracking space, He gave me the opportunity to Mix one of his old recordings in the LUNA daw, helping me to get familiar with the sound quality of the space as well as his extensive plugin collection. I found myself drawn primarily to the Soundtoys line of plugins. On day two, since there was some downtime, and we had a shorter session that day, we watched part of the Puremix Andrew Scheps recording session with the band Geese, as a way to simulate experience observing a recording session. The Following day, I helped edit part of his church podcast titled Live860 in Protools.
